Genealogic Scotland has been established by Jo Gevers, to provide a friendly, helpful and professional family history research service. Based just outside Dundee, on Scotland's sunny east coast, I am right on site to make the most of the great range of sources available to family historians in Scotland.

I have been researching family history for about 30 years, initially as a hobby, and now professionally. With 2500 names on my own family tree (and building!), I've got plenty of experience of both the hard work of wading through the indices, and the happy serendipity of just "coming across" nuggets of information.

I am a member of the Scottish Genealogy Society, and have successfully studied "Writing Family History" with the Open University.

More recently I have been privileged to help other people with their own searches, and I take enormous pleasure and satisfaction in being able to put some of the pieces of their family stories in place for them. Why not let me help you with yours?
